“Michael’s 8th-grade graduation was very meaningful to his family, our medical team, and his teachers. A cancer diagnosis got in the way of Michael attending, but it did not stop him from working incredibly hard while in the PICU to fulfill the requirements needed to receive his diploma. Ten of his teachers from Santa Rosa Charter Academy agreed to facilitate a formal ceremony in the hospital! With Little Wishes' help, we celebrated this special milestone with his favorite cake, cupcakes, ice cream, and decorations. We also presented him with his graduation wishes – a smartwatch and a backpack.
