Some stories stay with us forever. This is one of them. Years after receiving wishes, a former Little Wishes patient reached out with a message that reminds us why this work matters and how far the ripple of a “little” wish can travel.

^{I just wanted to reach out and thank you for all the work you do. I was a long-term patient at CPMC in San Francisco in 2015, and Little Wishes was one of the things that kept me going during that difficult time. I still remember Nurse Laura’s kindness and care. I don’t know where I would be without it.}

^{Since getting better, life has been good to me. I graduated from Rice University last year and started working full-time. I donated my first paycheck to Little Wishes as a small thank you for all you did for me and to hopefully pass along some strength and joy to kids in the same place I was not too long ago. It really does get better.}

^{Nurse Laura, if you’re reading this, I’m sure you don’t remember me, but I certainly remember you, and I will always be grateful that you and Little Wishes were there for me at my worst.
